The parade is organized by a committee of dedicated volunteers and community supporters.
Your entry into the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede parade is a richly rewarding experience for you to get involved in. It is a great way to build teamwork, pride and community spirit within your organization while giving back to our community and having fun in the process. There is nothing like parading your civic pride, come and showcase your product and celebrate our western heritage.
PARADE APPLICATION FORM DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: The MHES Parade Committee MUST RECEIVE all Application documents with full description by July 19, 2019 at 4:00PM. Partcipants must then provide a suitable Certificate of Insurance. Due to the high number of applications each year, LATE or INCOMPLETE Applications may not be accepted.
SAFETY: All participants are responsible for ensuring that the design and operation of their Entry is safe and reliable.
AUTOMOBILES: these are not permitted as an Entry. Exceptions are entries under the details of CLASS 11 – Antique Cars, Trucks and Tractors. Should you wish to supply an antique automobile for other parade committee considerations please contact by email: email@example.com
SPONSORSHIP/COMMERCIALISM: Recognition of commercial sponsors is acceptable, provided that it is done tastefully, meets MHES Parade Standard and the commercial message does not dominate the Entry. The MHES Parade Committee reserves the right to reject blatantly commercialized Entries.
FINAL DECISION: The MHES Parade Committee will make the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of all entry applications and may limit the number of entries in any one category.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE 80% DECORATED: To assure that the quality of the floats is maintained for the viewing public, all vehicles and flat decks, etc. must be clean and decorated to a minimum of 80% coverage. Exceptions are as specified within the applicable class. Vehicles not meeting this requirement will be refused entry at the discretion of the Parade Marshal
