Parade Instructions:
- The parade will commence to form up at 8:30 A.M. on Second Street
proceeding west. Please DO NOT move into position until asked by your
Section Marshal.
- Throughout the parade route, please maintain an average of twenty
to thirty feet between entries.
- Avoid crowding of horse groups to prevent spooking of the animals
and subsequent injury to horse and rider.
- In the event of a mechanical breakdown, please pull off to one side
and wait for an opportunity to re-enter the parade.
- The parade will proceed to a dispersal point at Third Street and Macleod
Trail. At this intersection, you may continue west on Third, turn left
onto Macleod Trail or turn right to River Road.
- PLEASE CLEAR THE DISPERSAL POINT AND PROCEED OUT OF THE AREA AS QUICKLY
AS POSSIBLE by the route most convenient to your destination.
- Gaps in the parade hurt and are criticized. Do your best to keep it
a good show.
- YOUR PARADE COMMITTEE WISHES TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST, EFFORTS
AND UNDERSTANDING. WITHOUT YOU THERE, IT WOULD NOT BE A PARADE - YOUR

Classes:
CLASS 1 - Riders (10 and Under)
To all Cowboys and Cowgirls 10 and under. Includes Shetland Pony Group
Entries, may be fancy dress, Cowboy or Indian. All entrants must be
mounted.
CLASS 2 - Cowboys & Cowgirls
Judging will be based on Practical Range Equipment, Horse, Rider, Dress
and General Appeal.
a. Junior Cowpokes (16 & under)
b. Senior Cowpokes (17 & over)
CLASS 3 - Glamour Class
Judging based on Horse, Costume, Equipment and Showmanship.
a. Western
b. All others, not western
CLASS 4 - Western Riding Groups
Groups of riders dressed in Western theme. Judging based on Horses, Riders,
Dress, Equipment and General Appeal.
CLASS 5 - Comic - Entry Fee: $20.00
a. Open: Entries may be individual or a group. BUT groups will be judged
as a single entry. Judging bases on humor and costume.
b. Floats: Entries, this class must consist of a unit or a float of a
comical nature. Personnel and units or floats are judged for humor, originality
and construction.
CLASS 6 - Commercial Floats - Entry Fee: $20.00
A float or decorated car entered by a person or firm engaged in manufacturing
or processing or a firm engaged in the wholesale or retail business.
Such vehicle should bear the sponsor's name and related advertising.
CLASS 7 - Organizations - Entry Fee: $20.00
A float or decorated car entered by, or on behalf of any ORGANIZATION,
FRATERNAL GROUP, CLUB OR LODGE, such as Boy Scouts, Girl guides, Church
groups, Teen groups, Assisted Living Complexes, etc. These must be primarily
of an artistic nature or represent a theme, and may bear entrant's name.
CLASS 8 - Community Floats - Entry Fee: $20.00
Float or Marching Group representing City, Town or Municipality.
CLASS 9 - Special Ranch Class - Entry Fee: $20.00
Entry may consist of group of riders, chuckwagon, load of cattle, or
buggies.
CLASS 10 - 4H Clubs - Entry Fee: $20.00
Judging will be based on Theme, Originality and Construction.
CLASS 11 - Big People, Little People - Entry Fee: $20.00
A float or decorated car entered by an organization providing services
for children, teens or students (e.g. Day Care, Big Brothers, Hire-a-Student,
Block Parents, etc.)
CLASS 12 - Antique Cars, Trucks and Tractors
Eligible vehicles must be of 1974 vintage or earlier, in running condition
and must carry make and vintage identification, but no advertising.
CLASS 13 - Non Competitive:
This class is provided for individuals at firms wishing to enter a float,
for advertising or good will purposes and which is not desired to compete
for a prize.
