When and Where does the Parade take place?
The Parade takes place every year on Thursday of Stampede. Parade officially begins at 9:00 a.m.

I’ve never entered a parade before. How do I get started?
Read over the Rules & Regulations and Categories. Then figure out where you/your organization fits in. Fill out the application online, and don’t forget to get insurance. If you need any advice, do not hesitate to contact the Stampede Office at 403.527.1234
How much is the entry fee for the Parade?
Depending on the Category, the most it will cost will be $20.
How much does it cost to put together an entry for the Parade?
There is no specific amount that you must spend to be in the Stampede Parade. Some people build entries for minimal cost using only volunteers and donations. Others contract professional companies to design and build their entries, costing $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 and even much more. It’s entirely up to you!

How long does the Parade last?
Depending on number of entries, the parade takes approximately 1.5 hours
I'm in the Non-Judged Category. What time do we have to form up at?
You must form up by 8:00am - this is for Category 12 only (non-judged)
What is the Clearance of the CPR underpass? The maximum height of floats is 13' (feet) in order to clear the underpass, overhead wires and decorations on streets
What Streets are closed during the Parade? The streets along the parade route will all be closed as well as the streets used for the form up areas. A detailed map can be found HERE
What time do the streets close?
Are handouts permitted?
No, no material may be thrown from floats or distributed along the parade route before or during the parade as per the City of Medicine Hat regulation.
Are there bathroom facilities available?
Yes, there are porta potties located at 4th Street & Allowance Ave, Athletic Park as well as in the empty lot across the street from Tim Hortons (1st Street & Maple Avenue)
We won prize money for our Category in the Parade, when & where do I collet my money?
Prize money will be mailed in the form of a Cheque 2 weeks after the Parade.
